Wrapping up Winter Tournament Week
About 190 College sportsmen have made the most of Winter Tournament Week, relishing the opportunity to compete around New Zealand in a range of sports.
Basketball
College鈥檚 Senior A team has finished runner-up at the South Island Secondary Schools Basketball Tournament in Dunedin, losing to Waimea College, 94鈥84, in the final.
College鈥檚 Junior A basketball team has finished 3rd at the South Island tournament, beating Burnside High School 83鈥63, while the Senior B team has nabbed 4th place in the second-tier division.
Football
College鈥檚 1st XI football team has finished 16th 鈥 its highest finish ever 鈥 at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Tournament in Auckland.
In 秀色直播church, the Junior XI has finished 5th, beating Rangiora High School, St Thomas of Canterbury College, and Southland Boys鈥 High School.
Hockey
College has finished 5th in the premier Rankin Cup, beating Palmerston North Boys鈥 High School, 3鈥2, in the playoff to deliver one of the school鈥檚 best results at the national competition in Mount Maunganui. Finn McCormack-Young has topped the tournament scoring for College, registering 12 goals.
Meanwhile, the 2nd XI has lined up at the Galletly Cup competition in Cromwell.
Rugby
The 1st XV has celebrated at unbeaten run at the Independent Schools Rugby Festival in Hamilton, capped by a 47鈥33 win over King鈥檚 College in an outstanding performance by the College team.
In 秀色直播church, the U15 side has won the Bowl Final, beating Rangiora High School 24鈥7, and the U16 team has competed in the Quad Tournament against Nelson College, St Andrew鈥檚 College, and Timaru Boys鈥 High School .
Table tennis
College table tennis players Peter Wu, Calib Wyness, Leo Kim, and Gordon Wyness have stepped up to compete at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championships in Palmerston North.
